2020 Acura TLX vs 2020 Jaguar XE

2020 Acura TLX vs 2020 Jaguar XE

The luxury vehicle market can feel overwhelming with so many manufacturers and different vehicle types. For that reason, a small sedan is a great first luxury vehicle. Luxury sedans provide power and comfort while still offering a professional exterior yet family-friendly interior. Two great options for introductory-level luxury sedans are the 2020 Acura TLX and 2020 Jaguar XE.

2020 Acura TLX

The Acura TLX’s bold design gives a hint of its capability. Exceptional performance hides beneath the TLX’s sharply sculpted lines, track-inspired styling, low stance, and dual exhausts. Quality is the name of Acura’s game–from the quality materials used on both the inside and the outside of the TLX to the quality service provided by the standard AcuraLink–a cloud-based service that connects you with your vehicle, sending notifications on mileage, tire pressure, oil life, and more.

The TLX comes in seven different model variations: A-Spec, Tech A-Spec, SH-AWD A-Spec, SH-AWD Tech, SH-AWD Tech A-Spec, SH-AWD Elite, and SH-AWD Elite A-Spec. The lowest-priced TLX A-Spec starts at $37,490 and features a 2.4-litre 4-cylinder engine that offers 206 horsepower and 182 lb-ft of torque. That engine is used in the lowest two models; after that, the 3.5-litre V6 engine is used and provides 290 horsepower and 267 lb-ft of torque. The A-Spec and Tech A-Spec are both front-wheel drive vehicles while the other five models are all-wheel drive.

2020 Jaguar XE

A vehicle manufacturer whose name is synonymous with luxury, Jaguar offers the new XE as an introductory-level small sedan. The Jaguar name differentiates the XE from other vehicles in its class, but it helps that the style, presence, performance, and technology are there, too. The 2020 model year includes upgrades to the suspension as well as a revised JaguarDrive Control and upgraded interior materials.

The 2020 Jaguar XE starts at $49,900 and comes in two models to balance a driver’s performance and efficiency needs–the XE SE and the XE R-Dynamic SE. The lowest-priced Jaguar XE SE features a P250 AWD Automatic engine that delivers 247 horsepower and 269 lb-ft of torque. It includes standard leather seats, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, and LED headlights.
